Julia Binegar

Julia Binegar, born August 29, 2000, is the only child of parents Alan and Renee. She grew up as the good girl who always did what was right, and always kept a part of that self as she grew older. Beginning in middle school, her rebellious and outgoing personality began to grow exponentially. She enjoyed being with friends, especially as her friend groups grew bigger and stronger. She was exceptionally talented in the classroom, especially in math and science. She also was involved in art, and intentionally kept it as a part of her life moving forward. She involved herself in the church and maintained faith as one of her main goals. Going into college, she was excited for the opportunities and experiences to come.

Anna Cobb

If Walter Isaacson were to create a single paragraph about me (that was the prompt for this bio), he'd say a few things: first, how sad it was that I had no idea who Walter Isaacson was until five minutes ago (when I googled him). Second, that I hate plastic straws (they always end up in the ocean!) and that I carry the compostable boxes they put lunches in at the Student Center around with me all day so I can compost them at Willage. Third, I love the game SET, The Martian (the book and the movie), my dog, and Honeycrisp apples. Fourth and finally, my 9th grade honors bio teacher called me an "old soul"; I thoroughly enjoy sleeping in till 7:30, then killing any chance I had at being productive by reading the news and drinking coffee with chocolate milk in it (strongly encourage everyone to try) for three hours.

Dustin Coha

Hi, my name is Dustin Coha and I am an ME from upstate New York, although I currently live in Grand Haven, Michigan. I decided to come to Tech because of the academics, location, and, of course, the amazing dining halls. I enjoy playing most sports, but basketball, football and rock-paper-scissors are my favorites. On the weekends I love going to GT football games or watching movies with friends. My favorite movies would have to be “Remember the Titans” and “Toy Story” (the first one, obviously). I am also really into making things with my hands as well as working on cars/vehicles of any sort. I am a very outdoorsy person and love hiking, camping, and especially rock climbing. I love meeting weird, new, people and am extremely excited to be a member of FAB and plan some freaking amazing activities.

Audrey Cossin

Her name is Audrey. She is from central Florida, so she loves Publix. She also loves milk (but only 2% Publix milk). She swears she can tell the difference. Go ahead and try her if you don’t believe her. She also loves bell peppers, and she eats them like apples (or maybe she eats apples like bell peppers???). She also enjoys naps, hitting the snooze sixteen times in a row, and sprinting up stairs two at a time. She’s looking forward to a great year. Let’s get this bread.

Sam Dasari

Hi Friends!! My names Sam Dasari ! It’s not really Sam, but it was something I was called with since 2nd grade because my teacher couldn’t pronounce my full name (Saisamhitha...it’s not even hard goodness). I’m a biomedical engineering major from Northern Virginia. Actually, I was born in India, moved to the US when I was 2 years old, lived in four different states before I came here to Tech! My favorite home would HAVE to be DC all the way tho (living so close to the nail-biting action… are we gonna legalize weed, let some refugees in or get bombed my North Korea tomorrow no one knows). In free time, I play volleyball mainly so I don’t have to run and I read books and watch movies/TV like it’s a sport (all time fav book are Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese ITS SO GOOD pls read). I decided to join FAB for the community and the energy it brings so I’m just SO excited to be on FAB this year and to plan FABTASTIC events for you guys!!

Vivian Do

Vivian Do is a what you would call a classic suburban teenager. From Augusta, Georgia, she enjoys the simple things in life: sleep, memes, and above all else, dairy. If well acquainted with her, she may tell you an interesting story about her cat, Mila, or her love for all things Ariana Grande. A scorpio, she loves mysteries and getting to the bottom of things, and has a very powerful unconscious mind (according to Cosmo). All in all, Vivian proves to be a solid human being and an even better friend, but be careful not to cross her, or you'll wish you'd never met.

Nic Fite

I’m from a little place called Minnesota. Came to Georgia for the peaches. I prefer soy milk over cow milk don’t @ me.

Golda Gershanok

Hello. My name is Golda Gershanok. I was born on July 4th. I am just a girl who is looking to find love in a hopeless place. My favorite animal is a pig. I like that they are smart, have funny noses, and use their surroundings to keep cool. I am from Pittsburgh, but since moving to Atlanta I have had the urge to roll in mud to keep cool. I play tennis and love thai food.

Jessica Harris

Hey friends!!! My name is Jessica, I'm from Duluth, Georgia and I'm a rare biomedical engineering major who doesn't want to switch majors! I love personality tests and horoscopes, so I'll go ahead and tell you that I'm a cancer, INFJ-T, blue and my love language is words of affirmation. I was a competitive swimmer for 11 years and also taught swim lessons. I love singing, dancing, painting, sustainability, hiking, and late night drives. Outside of FAB, I'm involved in For The Kids and I really want to study abroad. I'm a huge foodie so hit me up if you want to try a new restaurant! Fun Fact: for all you country music fans, I was once in an Eric Church concert.

Matt Heyrman

Depending on how you ask and where you are, you might get a slightly different answer about where I'm from and what I do. Swiss hiker with a military family? Prodigal son in a family of Belgian mathematicians and doctors? Professional fencer and travelling entrepreneur? These all may explain who I am, but they probably do not. I am not the most interesting man in the world, but if you spend more than 1 hour with me and my friends you will see that I am probably one of the most curious. A night out with me is like 3 nights out with a wise old monk hopped up on a mix of Red Bull, Monster, and 5 Hour Energy after 20 years of isolation in the Himalayas meditating. I can tell you of travelling to a hundred different places while getting lost on my own college campus, and will certainly not fail to mention that  I aspire to be the smartest man to fail out of my major. If one thing is to be expected: I will never fail to make a bad joke, and then make another one to make sure that no one laughed because I am not funny.

Jonathan Horbund

Jonathan Horbund is from West Palm Beach, Florida and is pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. Having a background in putting on promotional events and activities for his high school's theatre department and green club, Jonathan is excited to begin working on events with FAB. When asked about why he decided to join FAB, Jonathan said, "I wanted to help create and put on events to get first-year students to meet each other in a fun and interactive setting!"

Jonathan Hou

Ummm... So I don't really know who Walter Isaacson is, so I'm going to substitute in Queen E because I love her and we're birthday buddies. So, If Queen Elizabeth were to create a single paragraph about me, I think she would describe me as basically her twin because we're both old souls. She's just also old on the outside and I'm just old trapped in a young body. I think she would also describe me as " A creative, free-spirited child with a personality that can brigthen a room and who enjoys such noble activities as knitting, needlepoint and soap making yet, this creativity does not hinder his analytic abilities and like mathy skills. [In British Accent]" Now, being perfectly honest, I hate talking about myself so here's some lyrics to a song I really like:
"Hark, I hear the harps eternal
Ringing on the farther shore,
As I near those swollen waters
With their deep and solemn roar."

Erick Kahinga

Though the locker room at Westminster High was filled with people, it was instead filled with silence. My teammates and I are all communicating with eye contact and head gestures revealing our connection to one another. One matter exists in this moment, and it is the cause of all anticipation in the room. The emotion in the room was mutual: I personally have never felt so proud to be among such great men, three of which who still mentor me today. There are still five minutes until the Georgia State Championship game for lacrosse commences, but time slowed down as if it were giving me a chance to reflect on every aspect of my life that brought me to this moment. A rush of emotion, all of which was stored inside, escaped as I began to translate my hidden emotions into words of inspiration to my teammates. I am the youngest on a team of champions who in the moment took my words with great joy. I am nervous about the outcome the future would reveal, but I learned the only thing I am able to control is myself. Head coach Wishon finally calls us together, gives his final speech, and concludes with one final life lesson, “Never settle for anything less than excellence.” At that moment, I realized lacrosse taught me a lot more than just shoot a ball and score at a net; it taught me that life is a high contact sport, and if you’re not prepared to embrace it, you will fail. The adrenaline reached its peak as I look at my teammates nodding to acknowledge coach Wishon’s wise words. We begin to form our huddle, and life as we know it did not exist outside the four walls that encompassed us. Win or lose, I promised myself that day, that whatever position life had for me, I will enjoy the good and bad and will lead with excellence. The doors opened, and the smell of outdoors and turf filled my nose. It was time to face our destiny.

Kaelyn Kim

Hey guys! My name is Kaelyn, not Katelyn. I run when I'm stressed, but I also eat when I'm stressed so I'm in a constant cycle of gorging myself with chocolate chip cookies, feeling really bad about myself, and then running 4 miles. I absolutely love smoothies, and the quality of my day is dependent on if there are smoothies at Nav or not. During elementary and middle school, I lived in Cambodia and the Philippines which is why I'm interested in (and majoring in) international affairs. I've eaten everything from fried tarantulas to barbecued snake, but still the most disgusting thing I've eaten is mayo. Ew. Anyway, I just now realized that half this bio is about food, but that's okay.

Dane Koval

Hello my acquaintances!  My name is Dane Koval, also known as the one and only Dank Dane.  People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 350 and am what some people call a genius.  I'm a very cool person, which I know to be a fact, because my mom always tells me so.  I enjoy partaking in intellectually-stimulating activities, like staring at the sun, holding my breath under water, counting to twenty-four all by myself and much more.  I'm quite ecstatic to be a part of FAB this year and know that my invaluable skills, some of which were listed above, will truly help to further the organization as a whole.
